刪除我覺得趕快先和TD商量看看吧,畢竟選這個時間是他們考慮不週,給的緩衝期也實在短了點。如果實在不行,那就只好問IRS如何處理了。

請向TD確認吧,通知書是書面寄達的,網站和Email都沒收到,發信日期為4/29,我不確定這是否為全面性政策,是否分批處理,他通知我即將關閉支票戶頭的理由就只是不再提供支票服務給非美國公民或沒有永久居留權的外國人。
刪除我是去年申請的,應該是全外國身分帳戶都關了,或許你比較幸運,但也有可能是沒收到信件。
刪除不知IRS匯款失敗會不會用支票補寄?
剛剛搜尋了一下,雖然狀況不同,但應該可以適用,裡頭的說明還蠻具體的:

簡單的說,如果銀行(這裡是TDA)把退稅退回IRS,那麼會改寄支票。但如果進入了別人的帳戶,那要取回就很麻煩,IRS也愛莫能助。如果要聯絡IRS,那麼要先確認IRS已經受理此退稅,這可以透過網頁查詢得知進度,受理之後IRS才有辦法處理。
IRS建議郵寄後4週就可以查詢http://www.irs.gov/Refunds/Where's-My-Refund-It's-Quick,-Easy,-and-Secure.

沒了這個支票帳戶,就等同無法和TDA透過ACH轉帳了...
回覆刪除其實TD帳戶做為ACH的發動者並不會受到是否有開支票戶影響,只要對方有支票戶就行了。當然,像我在Just2Trade也沒有支票戶的話,雙方都只有發動功能,沒有支票帳戶,就沒有辦法和TD透過ACH轉帳。現在TD的狀況變成和Just2Trade一樣,和Firstrade相反,Firstrade是只能透過支票戶頭被動接受別人的ACH,本身無法做為ACH發動者。
刪除簡而言之,以後要和TD做ACH轉帳的券商,必須本身要有支票戶頭才能轉帳了。Firstrade有匯款補貼,又有支票可申請,和TD搭配剛好是很好的互補。目前看起來還是嘉信的服務最全面。E*Trade的ACH沒問題,支票我就沒仔細問了。
Rib大說的沒錯,我的TD帳戶今年初才開好,沒有支票帳號,但一樣可以在TD設定與Charles Schwab、Firstrade的ACH連結。(另一方一定要有支票帳號)
刪除以目前狀況來看,若有需要申請兩個以上的美國券商帳戶,Firstrade + TD、Charles Schwab + TD、或是Charles Shwab + Firstrade + TD這些組合都不錯。都能利用到ACH、支票帳戶、VISA DEBIT CARD這三項方便的功能。
昨天寫mail給TD說明因為要退稅希望它展延時間,出乎意料的沒有當天回信,當天回可能是壞消息,沒當天回算好事,應該是內部討論中。

雖然是去年的事情了,不知道TD Ameritrade是不是真的有這樣做?
如果有的話,感覺TD Ameritrade對於國際投資人並不友善。
TD Ameritrade要求中國、日本客戶結清戶頭...不過好像沒看到其他相關報導,而這則報導居然是Firstrade發出的...真是各種奇怪。裡面有提到日本法規和中國帳戶的風險問題,這就不是很清楚了。只能希望不要碰到這種事吧。
刪除報稅是留TD的支票帳戶,但我前天已經收到IRS寄來的支票了。可見Rib的資料是對的,帳戶匯不進去就寄支票了。

一般需要的費用有券商的手續費和中間行費用,TD Ameritrade超過10W可免券商費用。
另外也可請券商開立支票寄到台灣,不用匯款費用,但在台灣光票託收另有費用,且費時較久,請自行詢問往來銀行。這裡有經驗分享:
